Letter from Craig Watson

February 8, 2004

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Cameron Brown since high school. We shared a love of skateboarding, snow skiing, camping and other outdoor sports.

I always considered Cam a kind, generous person who gladly helped me in any way he could whenever I asked him. My family also appreciated his gentle, unassuming ways.

Both my mom and sister recall him helping out when he had meals over at our house. He once shocked the two of them by cleaning the sink. "It's how my mom would have liked it," he replied.

If there was any hint in Cam of the person portrayed by the LA media, we would never have been friends. He is not a conniving, diabolical person.

I urge everyone to resist succumbing to the sensationalism of this tragic accident and listen to those who know him as a warm person incapable of such a heinous act.

Craig Watson
