Letter from Brad O’Neill

of Denver, Colorado

I am writing this letter for Cameron Brown, as I have been a close friend of his and his family since the 1970's. In the time I have known Cam, he has always been a person who was willing to help others, and always was one to give a call just to say hello.

Over the past few years, Cam and I had become good friends and I made several trips to visit him in California. He was always the first to open his door to me and allow me to stay at his place of residence. During that time, we discussed many things, and he helped me understand the true meaning of life. That was enjoying the finer things of life, but not living to lavishly.

Even though we both came from families that were brought up on the right side of the tracks, we both admired the nature and particularly the love of surfing. Cam is the one that taught me how to surf, and always kept a watchful eye on me when I was in the ocean as I was from Colorado and not familiar with the water. Many times he would show me the areas on the coast that were near and dear to his heart. We would drive up and down the coast, looking for the best spot to surf. I know the areas that are near and dear to him and will look forward to surfing again with him soon.

As I grew up and began a family, Cam flew out for my wedding, and also was one of the first to call and congratulate me on having children. As we all live in a busy world, it was always refreshing to have a good friend call and say hello, and Cam was always the one to call. I can tell you from personal experience, that Cam was always warm to others, and never once did I see him overindulge.

Cam gives his heart and soul to others, and has been one of my closest friends for the past several years. He was always nice and respectful to others and will always be one person who should be free to continue his mission of goodwill.

Sincerely,

Brad O'Neill
